'NYIKA INOVAKWA NEVENE VAYO': MUDUVURI TURNING PRESIDENT ED MNANGAGWA IDEOLOGY INTO REALITY
Zimbabwe has regained itself. A newly founded political-economic ideological conceptualisation to infuse and consciously rejuvenate pragmatisation of the economic realities, its foundational needs and demands, to transform, emancipate, empower and economically move Zimbabwe forward against the inherent westernised political-socio-economic order, understood and adopted by most African countries as exemplary in their jurisdictions. Zimbabwe, a country once economically deserted, collapsed, and politically chastised for nearly two decades by unilaterally imposed sanctions, by once the dominate hegemonic powers, the West in dalliance with United States of America, after its land re-distribution programme in the early 2000s, is now on the forefront to debunk the fallacy, whim-worshipping of foreign investors as the only viable factors in progressive developmental initiatives and implementation in Africa, at the expense of indigenous potentials.
The Zimbabwean philosophical theorem, 'Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo', in translation simply means, 'A Country Is Built By Its Own People', was founded on political sloganeering on a vote-campaign rally in the outskirts of the country. It attracted oppositional critics into labelling it a political redundant hype, empty rhetoric whose bearer lacks political acuteness, certainly to dye sooner than the day it was sloganistically uttered. However, in reality, the idea has outlived its oppositional criticism, sprout and established its political weight, and economic abundance. Its empirical provability is substantively anchored on current evidential, undergoing nationwide, local-based transformative projects spearheaded by indigenous black people, in a way Zimbabwe has ever experienced. And, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa stands as the brainchild of the idea. How he conceptualised it in local comprehensible vernacular, is a question even the political genius and chessmasters hesitate to confront. The idea is a masterstroke in the Zimbabwe context.
In proverbial terms, an early bird catches the worm. One such outstanding figure amongst the many, in Zimbabwe circles, who earlier than thought, exceptionally understood the proverb and heeded to the president's call and vision before its adoption and formalisation, is Mr Jimayi Muduvuri of Kadoma. A politician, businessman and disability advocate. The man is successfully spearheading what Christopher Mutsvangwa, the current ZANU PF spokesperson, termed 'deliverables'. Muduvuri's social and infrastructural development is centered on health, education and business investment. His bottom-up approach is profoundly impacting, in what they call in electoral circles and electoral terminology, grassroot voters or in sociable simplicity, ordinary and vulnerable citizens. Elections are won from the first day a politician is elected into office, and Jimayi Muduvuri is making the next election, if to be held in 2028, a win for ZANU PF.
On Health:
Mr Jimayi Muduvuri recently opened one of the biggest Pan African Hospital, the Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital to supplement services rendered by the General Hospital located in the same city of Kadoma. The hospital is phenomenal to say the least. Its holding capacity is not to underestimated at all. It is unquestionable that the hospital can serve its catchment area, and beyond any day, any time. It has modern Outpatient Department, that is uncongested, smart, hygienic, hospitable, and smile-giving friendly staff. A Pharmacy with all sorts of medications at affordable prices. A Laboratory, Male, Female, Children and Maternity Wards, all named after late African heroes and heroines, amongst other services that it renders. Within the same complex there is a Rehabilitation Centre too, aimed at combating drug addiction. Nursing School to be open soon, to contribute in training health human capital and sufficiently equip newly opened clinics. An operating Jairos Jiri Section attributed to Jairos Jiri legacy. We all know the glorious years of the Jairos Jiri, and its purposive. That legacy is being revived by another blackman, Mr Jimayi Muduvuri, in the same way, to cater for those with disability and afford them opportunity to contribute positively to their individual needs as well as engage in government developmental initiatives under the banner of 2030 AGENDA. In his exclamations, Mr Muduvuri explains that in all his endeavours, he seeks to give back to the community under 2030 AGENDA, leads in the realisation of Constitutional guarantees of the right to life, and dignified being. The fundamentals innate in every Constitutional Democracy, hence profit not his priority.
Mr Muduvuri's efforts in the field of health does not end at the Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital in Kadoma, he has further developed and plan to develop numerous clinics in different regional districts around the country. Already completed and on construction phase, Simon Muzenda Clinic in Gokwe Centre, Auxillia Mnangagwa > Chirape, Sub-Clinic > Nembudzima, Dambudzo Mnangagwa > Chivi, Sally Mugabe > Kadoma, Joshua Nkomo > Gwanda, Rekayi Tangwena > Nyanga, Robert Mugabe > Zvimba, Chipinge, and Sekuru Mafidi > Mapanzure, to mention a few. For those on construction phase, completion date is immediate
What is Mr Jimayi Muduvuri's Vision?
A notice board explains it all. Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital seeks to provide efficient, and proficient patient care. Manage emergencies promptly, professionally, and efficiently. And lastly demonstrate the best professional conduct.
What is the mission?
The notice board states that, the hospital's mission is to prove that patriotism in a country that has peace, tranquility, good governance can bring national development. 'Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo'. Emphasize and make awareness of the Pan African history to the youth and people of Africa hence the naming of wards after African heroes. Promoting history, patriotism through health. Provide free medication and specialized services to the vulnerable in the community.
The Zimbabwe Constitution of 2013
Section 29(1), clearly state that, the State must take all practical measures to ensure the provision of basic, accessible and adequate health services throughout Zimbabwe. This provision speaks to the vision and mission of Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital, and government's current 2030 AGENDA. Credit must be given where it deserves. In that sense, a fair society would crown Mr Muduvuri champion of the people, and his efforts to make the Constitution's demands practically achievable in the immediate, applauded.
