'NYIKA INOVAKWA NEVENE VAYO': MUDUVURI TURNING PRESIDENT ED MNANGAGWA IDEOLOGY INTO MEANINGFUL REALITY
Zimbabwe a sleeping giant, regaining itself. Through a tactical algorithm, based on political-economic ideological conceptualisation to infuse and consciously rejuvenate pragmatisation of the economic realities, its foundational needs and demands, to transform, emancipate, empower, and economically move forward, against the suppressive westernised political-socio-economic order. Traditionally understood, and adopted by most African countries as exemplary in their jurisdictions. Unlike in the Asian world, the political grasp and economic comprehension by some Africans, towards societal needs, and required approach to developmental demands is rooted in the line of religiosity. Solely, a christian belief that, with constant prayers, God will deliver us, European messiah, to resurrect our economies and save Black Nation. An anomaly preached in political corners and a fallacy, Zimbabwe pragmatists are effortlessly disproving, tectonically shifting the political narrative. Zimbabwe, a country once economically deserted, collapsed, and politically chastised for nearly two decades by unilaterally imposed sanctions, by, once, the dominate Western hegemonic powers, in dalliance with United States of America, after its land re-distribution programme in the early 2000s, is now on the forefront, methodically debunking the myth, whim-worshipping of 'christianized-colonial capital', as the only viable conditional financial factor in progressive developmental initiatives in Africa. Brushing off alternative, reliably effective, indigenously sourced potentials.
The Zimbabwean philosophical theorem, 'Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo', in translation simply means, 'A Country Is Built By Its Own People', was founded on political sloganeering on a vote-campaign rally in the outskirts of the country. It attracted oppositional critics into labelling it a politically redundant hype, empty rhetoric whose bearer lacks political acuteness, certainly to die sooner than the day it was sloganistically uttered. However, in reality, the idea has outlived its oppositional criticism, sprout and established its political weight, and economic abundance. Its empirical provability is substantively anchored on current evidential, undergoing nationwide, locally-based transformative projects spearheaded by indigenous black people, in a way Zimbabwe has ever experienced. And, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa stands as the brainchild of the idea. How he conceptualised it in local comprehensible vernacular, is a question even the political genius and chessmasters hesitate to confront. The idea is a masterstroke in the Zimbabwe context.
In proverbial terms, an early bird catches the worm. One such outstanding figure amongst the many, in Zimbabwe circles, who earlier than thought, exceptionally understood the proverb and heeded to the president's call and vision before its adoption and formalisation, is Mr Jimayi Muduvuri of Kadoma. A politician, businessman and disability advocate. The man is successfully spearheading what Christopher Mutsvangwa, the current ZANU PF spokesperson, termed 'deliverables', under the president's theme 'nyika inovakwa nevene vayo'. Muduvuri's social and infrastructural development is centered on health, education and business investment. His bottom-up approach is profoundly impacting, in what they call in electoral circles and electoral terminology, grassroot voters or in sociable simplicity, ordinary and vulnerable citizens. Elections are won from the first day a politician is elected into office, and Mr Jimayi Muduvuri is making the next election, if to be held in 2028 nor beyond, a win for ZANU PF. Thus, undisputably corroborating unpopular view that, elections are strategically won not rigged.
On Health:
Mr Jimayi Muduvuri recently opened one of the gigantic world-class Pan African Hospital, the Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital to supplement services rendered by the General Hospital located in the same city of Kadoma. The hospital is phenomenal to say the least. Its holding capacity is immensely immeasurable. Unquestionably, able to serve its catchment area, and beyond, any day, any time, with a modern Outpatient Department, that is uncongested, smart, hygienic, hospitable, with smile-giving, exceptionally friendly staff in all surroundings. A Pharmacy with all sorts of medications at affordable prices. An X-Ray department, Laboratory, spacious Male, Female, Children and Maternity Wards, armed with modern equipment, and all named after late African heroes and heroines, amongst other general services rendered in any modern hospital. Within the same premises, there is a Rehabilitation Centre too, aimed at combating surging drug addiction countrywide. Nursing School (Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa Nursing School) to open soon, intended to contribute in training health human capital and sufficiently equip newly opened, and to be opened clinics. An operating Jairos Jiri Section attributed to Jairos Jiri legacy. We all know the glorious years of the Jairos Jiri, and its purposive. That legacy is being revived by another blackman, Mr Jimayi Muduvuri, in the same way, to cater for those with disability, and afford them opportunity to contribute positively to their individual needs as well as engage in government developmental initiatives under the banner of 2030 AGENDA. In proclamations, Mr Muduvuri explains that in all his endeavours, he seeks to give back to the community under VISION 2030, lead in the realisation of Constitutional guarantees of the right to life, and dignified being. The fundamentals inherent and integral to every proper and functional Constitutional Democracy, henceforth, profit not his priority. Successful Constitutional Democracy, is participatory, and economically inclusive, meaning citizenry involvement, participation and empowerment is core. President Mnangagwa echoed in his wording, Leave No One Behind in the VISION 2030, and, 'Our goal is to ensure that no community, village, town centre, or province is left behind in our developmental efforts', www.heraldonline.co.zw>president-mnangagwa-call. A subtle call for collective participative democratic empowerment towards the 2030 AGENDA.
Mr Muduvuri's efforts in the field of health does not end at the Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital in Kadoma, he has further developed and planning to develop numerous clinics in different regional districts around the country. Already completed and on construction phase, to mention a few, Simon Muzenda Clinic in Gokwe Centre, Auxillia Mnangagwa > Chirape, Sub-Clinic > Nembudzima, Dambudzo Mnangagwa > Chivi, Sally Mugabe > Kadoma, Joshua Nkomo > Gwanda, Rekayi Tangwena > Nyanga, Robert Mugabe > Zvimba, Chipinge, and Sekuru Mafidi > Mapanzure. For those on construction phase, completion date is immediate.
What is Mr Jimayi Muduvuri's Vision?
A notice board within the premises explains it all. Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital seeks to provide efficient, and proficient patient care. Manage emergencies promptly, professionally, and efficiently. And lastly demonstrate the best professional conduct.
What is the mission?
The notice board states that, the hospital's mission is to prove that patriotism in a country that has peace, tranquility, good governance can bring national development. 'Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo'. Emphasize and make awareness of the Pan African history to the youth and people of Africa hence the naming of wards after African heroes. Promoting knowledge history and patriotism through health. Provide free medication and specialized services to the vulnerable in the community.
What the Zimbabwe Constitution of 2013 say:
Section 29(1), clearly state that, the State must take all practical measures to ensure the provision of basic, accessible and adequate health services throughout Zimbabwe. This provision speaks to the vision and mission embarked on through Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital, and government's current 2030 AGENDA. If credit has to be given where it is deserved, Mr Muduvuri stands not only as the champion of the people, but also an upholder of the Constitution and its inalienable tenets.
Education
On the academic front, there is inexplainable development of additional schools through Macsherp Holdings. One notable example is the Leahmud Schools. These consist of ECD Centres, Primary and Secondary Schools. More and more infrastructure is being built for the same purposes. Holistically, the idea is not just infrastructure development but creating less expensive modern alternative education facilities towards 2030 AGENDA.
Business
On the business side, there is tremendous revamping and construction of Mini Trabablas Shopping Complex in Kadoma along Chimoio Road. One voluminous project not escaping public eye, is the revamping of vendor structures in existence around the area, specifically, to meet global standards. And the occupants to the newly modelled mini shops, speaks to the indigenization and empowerment government policies. Cde Julius Malema of Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF), of South Africa taught us (Africans), that political power without owning the economy is useless. In Zimbabwe land ownership is slowly transforming into the never spoken, and jealously guarded ownership of the economy. The design of shopping structures being constructed at Mini Trabablas Shopping Centre, is not for exclusive conglomerates, but emerging small entrepreneurs led by local business-minded youth. A community welcomed idea, whose collateral consequentials is the people of Zimbabwe with business mindset, certainly tapping into befitting business models, and benefiting from the developments. Testimonials, to President ED Mnangagwa's philosophical wording, the country must be built brick by brick, leaving no one behind, 'Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo.'
Employment
The undergoing projects have made an immediate positive social impact. Restoration of hope, cultivating a working culture, employment creation on a non-discriminatory and equal society as enshrined by the Constitution, as the workforce around all the projects has considerable number of women, youth, the deaf and people with disability on all levels. An alignment to the country's Vision 2030. The actions uphold the provisions of the Zimbabwe Constitution of 2013, Section 17 that speaks of gender balance, Section 20 that advocates for youth empowerment, Section 56 that speaks of equality & non-discrimination, Section 3(1) (e)(f) and (g) read with Section 14 speaking of the respect of individual's dignity, equality in all forms and the need for government to create and facilitate employment, in particularity, youth and women employment.
What is Zimbabwe Government Vision 2030?
In government explication, the Zimbabwe Vision 2030 is a policy 'Towards a Prosperous and Empowered Upper Middle Income Society by 2030', and the vision is aligned with African Union's 50 year vision, Agenda 2063 formulated in 2013, in cognisance with United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals, covering a period from 2016-2030. Foundational pillars to Zimbabwe Vision 2030 is conducive democratic governance, macro-economic stability and financial re-engagement, inclusive growth, infrastructure development, social development, youth development, gender equality & empowerment, micro, small & medium enterprise, and successful sport, recreation, arts & culture. These are the pillars guiding patriotic developmental projects around the country.
It is under this bedrock, that the people of Zimbabwe and locally based businessmen, in the patriotic spirit, joined hands, and collectively embarked on nationwide developmental projects, following the President's call for the implementation of the Vision 2030.
It should be admitted, Pres ED Mnangagwa divinely coined, 'Nyika Ivovakwa Nevene Vayo, Brick by Brick, Leaving No One Behind' and his prophetic message is yielding tangible results.
